The Contemporary Art Center of Virginia (CAC), an architectural award-winning facility, consists of galleries, a 268-seat auditorium, atrium, classrooms and offices. The combination of contemporary style and art creates a dramatic and impressive backdrop for any special event including parties, weddings, conferences and meetings. CAC also hosts a variety of performance art events such as dance, drama, poetry and music.

• Facility rental revenue makes up 30% of our Museum’s annual earned revenue and 16% of our total annual revenue.

• Proceeds gained through facility rentals directly fund CAC’s year-round exhibitions and educational programming, benefiting over 500,000 Hampton Roads residents and visitors each year.

• Over 25,000 people attend approximately 140 facility rental events at CAC each year. These figures do not include CAC events.
  

CONVENIENT LOCATION
CAC is located in the heart of the Virginia Beach resort district, just six blocks from the oceanfront on Parks Avenue and I-264. The Museum is also directly across from the Virginia Beach Convention Center and the Visitor Center. Two parking areas provide free, on-site parking, accommodating approximate 100 vehicles. All areas are handicap accessible.

The stunning architecture is nestled among trees on over eight acres of park-like grounds, maintained year-round with seasonal flowers and trees by City of Virginia Beach. Outdoor sculptures lend an atmosphere of integrity throughout the Jessica Glasser and Larry Mednick Sculpture Garden, welcoming guests into the many versatile spaces within the Museum. Whether you’re hosting an intimate affair for close friends or a business function for several hundred guests, CAC offers a high-class setting, first rate service and competitive rates.  > map
